Bead-n-Stitch Beading Software Review and Giveaway from PEARL BLAY a.k.a. THE BEADING GEM. I wrote a review on beading software programs some years ago, both free and commercial. There is now a new commercial pattern making program, Bead-n-Stitch – already in use in Eastern Europe – which has recently been released to the North American market not just for beaders but embroiderers, weavers and cross- stitchers. You can upload a photo or illustration and have the program render to whatever size project you want, using bead types, sizes and colors of choice. Users can also work from scratch on a blank canvas. The program can also make combined patterns with both beads and cross stitching, if desired. The developer is Igor Kotelevskii who was the original developer for BeadCreator Pro 6. But he has not been associated with that program since 2011. For organizational and financial reasons, work on BeadCreator Pro was discontinued in 2011 and it is not planned to resume in the future. It is sad, but the program still has critical errors that sometimes lead to the complete loss of the work created by the user when the program file is saved to the hard disk. Igor has, however, gone on to completely rewrite a new program Bead-n-Stitch with even more features than before. It works on Windows and Macs (with additional software). Peyote Creator Software Program Review and Giveaway By The Beading Gem’s Journal. The program was designed for PCs. There is a workaround for Macs which is explained on Igor’s website. I used my old PC laptop for this review. I also highly recommend you go through all the short video clips on that page to understand how the program works. Please note English is not Igor’s first language so listen carefully! There is also a PDF manual to help should you need to refer to something afterwards. The manual is not perfect as it is still a work in progress. The program does both contemporary geometric peyote as well as “classic” types where you can easily create designs using peyote, the various drop peyotes including the ever popular 2 drop, brick stitch and RAW. Pattie L Review Bead-n-Stitch is amazing! I have been working with the program for about a week now, “WOW”! I do a lot of bead work and cross stitch designs. Having this program is making it so much easier. I can design for both at the same time instead of having to do 2 different programs to work on 1 pattern. I absolutely love the “Color Map”. It is one of the best things to have. When I cross stitch or bead I find it easier to identify the different colors or stitches one group at a time. Exporting the pattern with the Color Map gives me each color on its own page, I am tickled pink about it. The only thing else that I would love to have is a manual, but I’m told it is in the works. The big question is would I recommend this program? The answer is YES!

I have been beading for probably 15 years. Bead Creator was my first beading program with which I created hundreds of patterns and made small simple patterns to very large hard patterns. I have had this software (Bead-n-Stitch) for a couple of weeks. Bead-n-Stitch has a lot of versatility. There seems to be no limit in the making of patterns and designs. The implementation of diverse pallets and types of beads used is super. The designers seem to have implemented everything that will help you produce the type of design you would like to make. From simple to complex designs you will enjoy Bead-n-Stitch. I had great communication with the developer when there have been new program updates and information help use the program. Bead-n-Stitch is a great buy.

Ann Rabourn I love Bead-n-Stitch. It is easy to use and Igor is very patient with my questions. The fact that I can use any picture of my own or use one that is in the program is great. The word chart is easy to read. This program is just as good, if not better, as BeadTool 4. I have already recommended it to some of my bead buddies.
Wendy Sites I received a copy of Bead-n-Stitch to tryout. I am very pleased with this beading/stitching software! Igor is always willing to come up with changes when we need something new or something tweaked a little. He also quickly answers emails when I am having a problem figuring out how to do something. Also there is a manual that helps a lot. I am soon going to purchase his Peyote Creator software also. This is going to send my creativity in a whole new direction. If you are looking to purchase beading software, I don’t think you will find anything better.
